Assessment & Placement

Performance videos can be submitted in place of a live audition. Please contact Stephen Eldredge at steveeldredge@hotmai l.com to schedule a live Assessment audition or to answer questions about auditioning.

Each accepted student is assessed and placed in an appropriate level ensemble. All ensembles are assigned appropriate repertoire a few weeks prior to their first coaching at Young Talent Chamber Music Workshop. Accepted participants are required to prepare and learn assigned chamber music repertoire prior to first coaching. Each ensemble receives training of six one – hour coaching sessions in the workshop.

Coaching Sessions Scheduling

All students are placed in a group with a Faculty-Coach. Each student/ensemble will receive a minimum of 6 hours coaching plus performances.

All coachings will be held at Akimoto Studios in Wilton Connecticut (38 Bhasking Ridge Road WIlton CT)

All coachings at this time of covid19 will be held with 6′ (6 feet) apart with masks

and time gaps between groups coming and going. Some coachings may be held on the lawn.

Performance

All YTCM concerts are performed with artist faculty side by side. Select groups will be invited to perform at various venues during the year. Private lessons on assigned chamber music repertoire are available for an additional fee.
